Five Elements Bracelets: How Wu Xing Crystal Healing Works by Birth Date
Share
Five Elements (五行, Wu Xing) philosophy has guided Chinese medicine, feng shui and personal wellbeing for over two thousand years. At its heart is a simple idea: everything in your life — your health, your relationships, your career — carries the energy of five elemental forces: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
These five forces do not exist in isolation. They generate and restrain each other in a continuous cycle: Wood feeds Fire, Fire creates Earth, Earth bears Metal, Metal collects Water, and Water nourishes Wood. When the five elements in your personal chart are in balance, energy flows smoothly. When one element is weak or excessive, that imbalance shows up as recurring patterns — fatigue, friction at work, restlessness, or a sense of being stuck.
What does my birth date have to do with crystals?
In classical Chinese metaphysics, your birth date and time encode a personal Five Elements map called a BaZi (八字) chart. Each of the ten Heavenly Stems belongs to one element, so every person has a dominant element — and usually one or two elements that are missing or weak.
A crystal bracelet is a traditional way to restore that balance. Each gemstone resonates with a specific element:
- Wood element stones (green): Green Fluorite, Malachite, Green Agate — for growth, creativity and new beginnings.
- Fire element stones (red, pink, purple): Rose Quartz, Red Garnet, Red Agate — for passion, visibility and warmth.
- Earth element stones (yellow, brown): Citrine, Tiger's Eye, Yellow Agate — for stability, abundance and grounded focus.
- Metal element stones (white, gold, grey): Clear Quartz, Moonstone, White Azeztulite — for clarity, precision and protection.
- Water element stones (blue, black): Amazonite, Lapis Lazuli, Black Obsidian — for wisdom, calm and flow.
How to choose your Five Elements bracelet
Most crystal shops sell bracelets by colour alone. But a bracelet that is truly personal is built from your chart, not from a trend. Here is the difference:
1. A colour-based bracelet picks stones by what looks nice. 2. A chart-based bracelet starts with your birth date, identifies which elements are strong and which need support, then selects stones that restore the missing balance — bead by bead.
For example, if your chart shows a strong Fire element but very little Water, you might wear Amazonite or Lapis Lazuli to cool and ground that Fire. Someone with abundant Wood and weak Metal, by contrast, benefits from Clear Quartz or Moonstone to bring clarity and structure.
How our reading works
Our free reading takes about two to three minutes. You share your name, birth date and what you want to invite in — career growth, love, wealth, health, or peace. We map your Five Elements balance and recommend the stones that speak to it. Then you design the bracelet yourself, choosing your bead sizes and combination from our full catalog of 45 graded crystals.
Five Elements bracelet care
- Keep your bracelet dry and remove it before showering or swimming.
- Clean stones gently with a soft, dry cloth.
- Charge your crystals in moonlight (or sunlight for Fire stones) when they feel heavy.
- Revisit your reading after major life changes — your elemental needs evolve with your seasons.
